I turn operations problems into working systems.

I started in 2002 commissioning microwave links and radio base stations, then spent eight years at Ericsson in deployment, acceptance and service-provider management. Since 2016 I've run rollout operations at Landmark Plus for a multi-vendor telecom portfolio (Ericsson, Huawei) across 8 regions of Egypt.

Along the way I kept meeting the same problem: the work was tracked in spreadsheets nobody fully trusted. So I started building the tools myself, first Power BI dashboards, then web apps and cloud databases designed and coded with Claude.

CAREER

22+ years in telecom

  1. JUN 2016 – NOW

    Operations Manager · Landmark Plus

    • Direct end-to-end rollout for a multi-vendor portfolio (Ericsson, Huawei): 2,700+ telecom tower sites and 12,000+ work orders worth EGP 73M+ (~$1.5M) across 8 regions of Egypt.
    • Lead and develop a team of 10 (project manager, technical support engineer, 7 field coordinators) plus 12 in-house and subcontracted field crews.
    • Drove 5,400+ tower sites to Final Acceptance (FAC/TOC) through strict quality control and coordination of crews, vendors and client sign-off.
    • Kept site acceptance to a median ~46-day cycle across 5,300+ accepted sites by planning milestones and clearing blockers.
    • Cut operational costs by 10% through streamlined expenses and a central warehouse.
    • Built the Power BI dashboards and web apps that track task status, acceptance, PO and invoicing across 12,000+ line items in real time.
    • Manage subcontractor performance, budgets and risk against rollout timelines, and resolve client escalations.
  2. SEP 2013 – JUN 2016

    Authorized Service Provider Manager · Ericsson

    Ran the ASP delivery scope end to end: subcontractor selection, onboarding and governance against Ericsson standards and SLAs; scope of work and resources across concurrent rollouts; performance audits, KPI reporting and corrective actions; pricing compliance and invoice verification.

  3. DEC 2010 – SEP 2013

    Acceptance Manager · Ericsson

    Led site acceptance end to end, from acceptance criteria through inspection to final client sign-off (FAC/PAC); cleared snags and blockers to speed up financial closure and cash collection; reported status and risks to senior management.

  4. MAY 2008 – DEC 2010

    3G Coordinator · Ericsson

    Led engineering execution for on-time 3G site deployments, with clear milestone tracking and stakeholder reporting.

  5. 2002 – 2008

    Field engineering · ZTE, North Star, NEC

    Senior technical support engineer (ZTE, 2005–08) on the Etisalat optical-fiber backbone and CDMA trials; radio engineer (North Star, 2004–05) commissioning Vodafone base stations; transmission engineer (NEC, 2002–04) on MobiNil microwave links.
